The credentials that work (LEED, B Corp, SOC 2, a D&B rating) share four things: a published standard, independent verification, a visible credential, and structural separation between selling and certifying. AboveBoardAI is built on the same four.

The score is deliberately simple: 0–100, five domains, three levels. It lets a managing partner answer a board member in one sentence, lets a client compare two firms, and shows every firm the path to a higher number.

The registry is deliberately public. A standard nobody can look up is a marketing sticker. A standard clients check before they ask is a market.

How the structure protects the score.

• Published rubric. Every control, level and evidence requirement is public. See the Standard.
• Two-person rule. A reviewer examines evidence; a separate certification officer confirms the score.
• Sales firewall. The certification officer has no sales role and no compensation tied to pass rates or revenue.
• No consult-and-certify. Firms advised by noboxAI on remediation are verified by a reviewer with no involvement in that advice.
• Complaints, suspension, revocation. Published, with an appeals panel. Read the policy.
• Standards advisory panel. Being assembled from governance, risk, legal and insurance backgrounds; the panel reviews the Standard annually and hears appeals.
